Grade 660 India

Grade 660 India

Grade 660 is covered under standard and specifications ASTM A453. Grade 660 material contains a mixture of specified contents of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulphur, silicon, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, titanium, columbium, aluminium, vanadium, boron, and copper. Grade 660 is divided into 4 classes: Class A, B, C and D. Grade 660 can also be used to manufacture stud bolts, screws, nuts, washers as well as rolled, forged, or hot-extruded bars.

Grade 660 Standards and Specifications

ASTM A453 specification covers five grades of bolting material and twelve classes of yield strength ranging from 50 10 120 ksi. The standards and specifications and the materials used to manufacture Grade 660 ensure high strength and good corrosion resistant properties. Since Grade 660 falls under ASTM A453, it is subjected to tension, stress-rupture and hardness tests and conforms yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, reduction of area, Rockwell hardness and Brinell hardness requirements. ASTM A453 specification covers high temperature of bolting with expansion co-efficient, making Grade 660 ideal for use in high-temperature applications like fasteners for pressure vessels and valve flanges.
